Event Details

The Baseball Industry Network is coming to New York City once again!!  In June of 2011 many of you came out for a great evening at the Bryant Park Cafe and so now we're coming out again with our second NYC Happy Hour Meet-Up on Thursday, August 2, 2012 from 5-8 pm.  Come and enjoy one of Manhattan's great outdoor spots, have some cocktails and network with fellow members of the group.  The New York metro area is a large contingent of our membership so I expect it to be a great turnout.

Please RSVP by August 2nd to give us an idea of how many people to expect for the evening.  We will try to have an area clearly marked for our group members.

With the unfortunate tragedy in Aurora, Colorado we are asking that members please make a donation to attend the event (greater than $10 would be appreciated) with proceeds going to the Mile High Chapter of the American Red Cross, supporting the victims of the shooting.  I realize it is not a lot but we can do our part in the baseball community to come together and help those in need.

If you are unable to attend but would still like to donate to the cause you can donate an amount above (noted by donation only).

If you wish to donate directly to the Mile High Chapter of the American Red Cross, you can go to the following link: http://www.coloradoredcross.org/general.asp?SN=199&OP=7094&IDCapitulo=Q4Q26NY21N

The largest individual donor will have the pleasure of joining me in Pittsburgh for a VIP experience at PNC Park to see the Pittsburgh Pirates take on the opponent of your choice during the 2012 or 2013 regular season.  This VIP experience will include the following:

Four (4) Field Level box seats

Four (4) Autographed Items

Private behind the scenes tour of PNC Park

On-field batting practice viewing experience

Private Meet and Greet with Pittsburgh Pirates front office members

The Baseball Industry Network has grown to nearly 15,000 members on LinkedIn thanks to your participation and support (we had nearly 8,500 members in June 2011).

Baseball Industry Network

The Baseball Industry Network is a networking group open to individuals working in and/or connected to the baseball industry. The group covers the full gamut of people working throughout the game (executives and staff at the major league and minor league level, MLB employees, scouts, coaches, agents, baseball writers and bloggers, baseball related manufacturers and equipment companies, current and former professional players, etc.). Industry professionals are encouraged to network with fellow professionals and share their experiences working in the game of baseball with those trying to break into the industry. One of the goals of the network is to educate and potentially develop mentoring relationships between those currently in the industry with individuals attempting to either advance within or enter the industry.  The Baseball Industry Network can be located at www.baseballindustrynetwork.com or on LinkedIn at www.linkedin.com.
